Blow-Fire

Blown glass transformed again by fire, brass, and time.

Introduction

Blow-Fire combines glass blowing with a second kiln firing—an uncommon process that gives the series its distinctive character.

Brass and glass react under heat to create patina-blue surfaces that cannot be precisely repeated. Every piece records a unique transformation.

Featured Works

Blow-Fire06-2

Process

Each piece is first blown by hand, then transformed through a second kiln process.

Material Expression

The blue is not painted on.
It appears through the reaction between glass, brass, and heat.

Collector note

No two Blow-Fire pieces can be repeated exactly.

Each work preserves a unique moment of movement, reaction, and transformation.
